Hahnchen Farms
Our farm is small, but our heart is big.
We have hatched and raised chickens, ducks, geese, guineas, turkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, and numerous other fluffy beings.
It took us a while to find our favorite animals to raise but we finally settled on Marans, Ameraucanas, and Silkies.
We also occasionally have turkey poults for sale.
The children have enjoyed raising and showing birds for many years.
We are members of the American Poultry Association, the Marans Chicken Club USA, the Ameraucana Breeders Club, and the American Bantam Association.
We are annually inspected to be certified free of Typhoid Pullorum as part of the National Poultry Improvement Program, and are licensed to perform PT tests in the state of Texas.
We are also licensed to sell poultry by the state of Texas (Texas Animal Health Commission), and are NPIP (National Poultry Improvement Plan) certified to sell poultry and ship eggs. We take the health of our animals seriously. We want you to have the best experience possible
We work hard to improve the Marans, Ameraucana, and Silkie breeds by selecting the best stock to breed that meets the Standard of Perfection (SOP) set by the American Poultry Association for each breed
We received Grand Champion for our Black Copper Marans hen and Reserve Grand Champion for our Blue Ameraucana hen in the same show in the junior class at the South Texas State Fair in Beaumont.
Our other Blue and Black Copper Marans and Ameraucanas did nicely as well.
